Outsourced SDR for M&A advisors: a dedicated caller without the hiring

What you would pay for in-house business development, what an outsourced caller and managed email actually cover, and which one makes sense for a firm your size.

At some point every advisor or broker who wants more deal flow asks the same question: do I hire someone to make the calls, or do I pay someone else to do it? Both can work. The difference is what you are signing up to manage.

What an in-house SDR really costs

The salary is the smallest part. Add the dialer, the data subscriptions, the email tooling and domain setup, the time it takes a new hire to learn your market, and the management hours to keep them dialing when the first month is slow. Then add the risk that they leave at month five and you start over. Most firms that have done it once describe it the same way: the calls got made for a while, and then they did not.

What an outsourced caller and managed email cover

You get

  • A dedicated caller trained on your criteria and script
  • A fresh list of 1,200 to 1,500 owners every month, DNC-scrubbed
  • Managed email on a warmed domain, 3-touch cadence
  • Live calendar booking with same-day confirmation
  • Weekly report, a dedicated account manager, a bi-weekly review
  • A caller swap at no extra cost if the fit is not right

You still own

  • The criteria (who is worth a call)
  • The meeting itself and everything after it
  • Valuations, fee conversations and the engagement letter

The practical difference: setup takes two to three weeks instead of a quarter, the volume does not depend on one person having a good month, and when you want to stop, you stop. It is month to month.

The volume behind it

1,200 to 1,500verified owners on a fresh list every month
4,000 to 6,000dials a month once the campaign is live
3,600+emails a month on a 3-touch cadence
2 to 3 weekstypical setup after onboarding

When hiring in-house is the right call

If you are running five or more concurrent outbound campaigns, have a sales manager who can coach daily, and want to build a proprietary team as a long-term asset, hire. For a one- to ten-person advisory or brokerage that wants a steady stream of seller meetings without becoming a call center, outsourcing the top of the funnel is usually the cleaner answer.

Frequently asked questions

Is the caller dedicated to my account?

Yes. One caller assigned to you, trained on your market and script, with a manager reviewing calls. If the fit is not right, we swap the caller at no extra cost.

Do I need to provide a list or a dialer?

No. The list, the data, the dialer, the email domain and the tooling are all included. You provide the criteria and the calendar.

How do you handle email deliverability?

Outreach runs from a separate, warmed sending domain so your firm domain is never at risk. Lists use verified emails where available, and we keep bounces low through list hygiene before anything is sent.

Can the caller represent my firm by name?

Yes. The caller introduces your firm and the reason for the call in a script we write with you. They do not quote fees or give valuations.

What happens to replies and interested owners?

Interested replies are categorized and forwarded to your inbox, and followed up by phone, typically the next business day. When an owner agrees to meet, we book it live onto your calendar.

How is it priced?

A flat monthly fee, month to month. No setup contract and no percentage of your fees.
